The Price of Peace

Peace cannot just be attained by just removing the disturbance. Peace demands a price.  Many people want peace but are not willing to pay the price.  That is the reason why we have heroes and martyrs-people who are willing to pay the price for the sake of peace.

Jesus Christ stands out from among these heroes for peace. He knew the high price for establishing peace between God and mankind.  It demanded for His very own blood to be spilled.

“For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” (Colossians 1:19,20)

Only Jesus Christ can provide us peace with God, peace within ourselves and peace with other human beings.  Only He can give real and lasting peace.  He has paid for it and now He provides it.
