Go, Tell Them!

It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.  Rather it is written: “Those who were not told about Him will see, and those who have not heard will understand”.
Romans 15:20,21

We sometimes wonder if there is any hope for mankind.  At times when we see selfishness, greed, unkindness and materialism ruling society, we ask; “where is God in all this”?

God throughout history has always intervened to save people.  Yet in most times He always employed men and women to carry out His salvation.  He used ordinary people to let the people know that He cares for humanity and that He is willing to save people.  From the Old to the New Testament God used patriarchs, kings, prophets and apostles to proclaim His salvation.  In the beginning of the New Testament, He sent His very own Son Jesus Christ to let people know how much He loves us.  Jesus Christ came to tell us of a loving God Who is willing to forgive our sin and save us from destruction and punishment.

After Jesus Christ accomplished His mission on the cross of Calvary, He passed to those who have committed to follow Him the responsibility of communicating God’s salvation.  That is why we have Christianity today.  People who receive God’s mercy and salvation through Jesus Christ have taken the task to bring this good news to others who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.

Every disciple of Jesus Christ today must realize that we are holding in our hearts and lives the only hope for this dying world.  Those who have not accepted Jesus Christ in their hearts are doomed to destruction; both here and the life after.  We must bring the message of God’s salvation to everyone, so that they may have a chance to be saved.

Jesus Christ is the only hope for mankind.  We who know Him and follow Him must bring Him to those who do not know Him yet.  It must be our burning desire to see our loved ones, families, neighbours, friends, colleagues and acquaintances saved by the cross of Jesus.  If we tell them, they could begin to hear about Jesus and if we share to them what Jesus has done in our lives, they could also understand.

Have we told them about Jesus lately?  GO, TELL THEM!
